April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4th in 1995. In the seventh grade she started taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love for songwriting. April Lockhart composed her very first song, Different at age of twelve. She spent lots of hours at the age of 14 creating songs, and practicing her music. Then she began to take excursions to write with her father in NY as well as LA. The month also saw her include various other topics of concern for some members of her circle who deal with things like social pressure and teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart works in partnerships at the well-known clean beauty brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle influencer, with her own growing following. Lockhart was born with no hand on her left side and it's part of who she's become, but this isn't the whole truth. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability in her Instagram profile, but she doesn't put it at the center of her account. The point? The message? We can all be multifaceted and the identities we have and our physical bodies may not be as they seem. Lockhart through a recorded message from Nashville's home, states that I don't think that this should determine me. I am greater than the physical person I am. My day-today life is not directly affected by disability. I lead a normal, everyday life and find my own solutions to problems. Since it's a part of me and something worthy of discussion. Lockhart who is an inspiration to accept oneself in all aspects, is on a long road to reach it. Lockhart has admitted that she's had periods where she was unsure about sporting certain clothes that exposed her arms. She now wears any outfit she chooses to and shares photos in those outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. It's all a process is the key thing I don't know that you ever arrive she says of self-love. That's my opinion. all people, regardless of what their fear is. People you spend time by who are truly yours and are able to see inside your heart are the ones that remind you of the things that matter.
