April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th July. She began guitar and piano lessons at age seven. Her interest in writing songs was ignited. April Lockhart composed her debut song, Different at the age of twelve. It was a long time at 14 writing songs, and practicing her music. She began writing with her dad at home in NY and LA within a short time. April began including other topics in her book Take My Hand to help those of her peers who struggled with disabilities, peer pressure or suicide. Lockhart is a fashion and lifestyle blogger who has a growing audience. She works with popular brand Ilia in partnership, as well as being a specialist in lifestyle. She has a disability that is part of her persona, however it's not all of the picture. Lockhart's profile on Instagram doesn't reveal her disability, but does not concentrate solely on the issue. What is the message? The message is of identities and we're more than just our physical self. It's not my intention to let that make me feel like I'm to become a person who is a disability-related influencer which is what I'm talking about as there are different aspects to me Lockhart says via video from her house in Nashville. It doesn't impact my normal life. I just do things normally, and I've discovered my own way to adjust the things. Because it is also part of my identity, it's something that's worth talking about. Her journey to self-acceptance will be one that lasts many years, yet she is an inspiration in this regard. Lockhart admits to having been through times when she felt uncomfortable in dressing in certain styles that displayed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she likes. Also, she uploads her photos on social media. The self-love she talks about is a journey. I'm not entirely sure that you'll ever reach the end. This applies to everyone, no matter what their levels of anxiety. It's my opinion that having those that have a sense of who you are and understand the depths of your soul is vital because they'll also be the people whom you can count on to remind you about what your worries about?
