Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, popularly referred to by the name Ashanti was born October 13 1981 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a popular singer, songwriter and actress from the United States. Ashanti, a teenage singer-songwriter and actress from America was signed by Murder Inc. Records to record in 2002.
